The Ideal MBT Ultimate week consists of:
2 Full-team practices (Wed night, Saturday)
1 Pod Practice (to be completed with your pod on a day that works for all of you. This practice involves lots of throwing, catching, running. funning, hanging out with your teammates. Reinforce skills worked on at practice)
2 Lifts (Alternatives will be provided for people without a gym membership to do with body weight)
1 track workout with throwing (ideally completed with teammates)
2 throwing sessions
This would be great if life didn't have other priorities and needs as well. Family, work, etc. But those exists. Now it is time to be honest with yourself. What does your MBT week look like? What are your limitations and what is essential for you to reach your individual goals for the season?
Here are the priorities listed by the captains:
1. Team practice
2. Pod Practice
3. Throwing
4. Lifting
5. Track Workouts
1. Set reasonable limitations for your time. Be honest with yourself. (Example: I can commit to making time 4 days a week)
2. What is essential for you? (Example: Practice is a must so that takes 2 days. For the other 2, I would like to get touches in with teammates at pod practice. I have struggled with injuries so I would like to get in the gym to lift for my 4th day. That is my minimum MBT week. If I have time, I will fit in another throwing session.)
You ladies are awesome! Thanks for putting this together.
